As the child of a rich business owner Lucas has tons of rules that he is required to follow. But upon meeting Ness and his group of friends, he slowly begins breaking those very rules. Each chapter follows a rule that Lucas will break.

The final battle against the Masked Man has been haunting Lucas for a while. No matter how hard he tried, Lucas had trouble moving on. But everyone else seemed to be okay with the Masked Man's death, in fact, nobody even seemed to want to mention his name or anything about him, not even his father. But something strange was going on in Tazmily Village, and around Lucas.

After learning Giygas has retreated 2,000 years into the past, Ness and his friends return to his invaded hometown of Onett to obtain some Zexonyte from the meteorite to activate the Phase Distorter, unknowing a deadly foe is closing in on the Chosen Boy’s family…

The journey to pull the Needles gets off course when the group is separated- Lucas is captured by the Masked Man and while chasing after them, Duster and Kumatora stumble across a strange abandoned structure in the woods- and discover that Duster's memory isn't completely back after all. Meanwhile, Lucas focuses on helping someone else get their memories back...

Doing the right thing has never been easy, but that's why the good guys are strong. They're always willing to do the right thing, always ready to be a hero. But is evil so easy to see? Is what's evil decided by the majority or the strongest? How can one fight it without seeing it in themselves? Truth is you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
