Bode tries to move on from Gabriella and prove himself to his new Chief, new Captain and Sonny Quinn, a former Navy SEAL who leads the training for CalFire's elite Smokejumpers. Then Gabriella walks back into his life

Bode's prison injury doesn't heal quite as he had hoped. Spoilers through Ep 2.1 Something's Coming, slightly AU from there. Not a death fic.

A little something I wrote for fun with my ideal version of how that scene in the woods would have gone down (with Vince having managed to actually keep Sharon from going to the fire which was definitely a trap) (and significantly more whump). This is a tame version of my longer fic, and will be a one shot following the 24 hours after Manny dismisses Freddy in season 1 episode 5. Bode gets vulnerable with Manny, and Manny lets his feelings lead the way. This is a stand alone.
