DS Healy returns to a remote crime scene but a danger lurks

Some of you maybe follow me on tumblr and know that I m a big fan of Penelope Wilton and that I want her to play a returning character on "Vera". Please read the A/N for any further information about who Penelope could play and what this little drabble is about. This is going to be a collection of drabbles in no particular order.

The death of a new mother who is seemingly a decent, upstanding human being sends DCI Vera Stanhope's world into a tailspin. A dark secret from the past will float to the surface.

Vera has an irer. His Point of view.

After Bettany's death Vera blames herself for what had happened. She would never it it to anyone, but she could use a shoulder to cry on.

Set during series 10 episode 2. At the end when Aiden want's to walk home. A one- shot of what I thought he was thinking.

She's used to loneliness. It's an acquired art. Not for the weak.

When Vera's team winds up with a case that involves the double murder of a couple in their home - there's an eerie resemblance between the female victim and the DCI which leads Vera down a winding path of near madness.

New boy Aiden feels responsible when Vera is injured during a case, when Joe returns at Vera's request, feelings are discovered. Can Joe help his replacement fit in a little better with the team and help Vera move on.

We never did find out why Billy Cartwright left and the last ep in series 3 didn't say anything. So here's my view on what happened to Billy. Nothing glam about it just my own interpretation on why he left.

An unexpected letter causes Vera to re-evaluate her life. The prequel is to this is called Freefalling and is now up.

Vera goes missing and it's up to her Team to track her down, a little Kenny/Vera included.

Someone Vera thought she would never see again turns up in an unexpected way.

A chance meeting reminds Vera of why she chose to spend her life alone.
